The Rise of Telco-Independent Networks
As part of our NextGen Series, this eGuide delves into the evolution of network architecture and the emergence of telco- independent networks.
Our SD-WAN solutions are now delivered to enterprises in more than 50 countries on 6 continents.
Coevolve, the leading provider of next-generation WAN services for global enterprise, is pleased to announce a major milestone: it is now providing Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) services to clients in more than 50 countries on six continents. This rapid growth is driven by the company being early to recognize the need for enterprises to obtain quality advice and support in adopting SD-WAN, Cloud Delivery Networks and other next-generation network technologies.
CEO Tim Sullivan said: “We started testing and deploying SD-WAN in early 2015 when the level of understanding on this new technology was in its infancy. Fast forward two and a half years we have now designed, deployed and provided ongoing management for SD-WAN solutions in a wide range of use cases and differing client scenarios. In the last six months we’ve seen SD-WAN going mainstream as enterprises look for a software defined network architecture that is much better suited to the delivery of applications from the cloud. Having successfully deployed SD-WAN carrying production traffic in many client scenarios in more than 50 countries, we bring a level of hands-on experience as enterprise IT teams embark on the journey towards SD-WAN and increased automation in the network.”
Coevolve’s clients are successfully using SD-WAN services in markets including North America, Australia, Asia, Western Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
Coevolve provides a range of consulting and managed network services to its clients, and many of its projects start with building a roadmap for the adoption of these technologies specific to their application suite and circumstances.
CTO Ciaran Roche noted: “We have extensively proven SD-WAN benefits in some highly challenging circumstances, including emerging markets and complex network environments. Having deployed sites in a disparate spread of cities and towns, but also in remote manufacturing plants and mining sites, we believe our SD-WAN experience is unmatched across such a broad geography. This helps us identify the best solution mix for each new client. As an indication of the amount of experience Coevolve has obtained with SD-WAN we have now used over 130 different telco and ISP circuit options as the circuit underlay, from all manner of broadband internet options, MPLS, 4G/LTE, fixed wireless and satellite.”
Tim Sullivan adds, “The fact that we passed the 40 country SD-WAN milestone in early June this year and have now surpassed 50 countries is testament to our team’s ability to execute but also the growing momentum of SD-WAN as the WAN technology of choice. We are pleased to see telcos announce their SD-WAN offerings and the more forward-looking of these are now moving beyond beta testing phase to an off-the-shelf offering. Our single biggest SD-WAN deployment for an individual client is over 400 sites so we have seen how to utilise the technology to scale more efficiently than was possible with traditional router networks.”
Sanjay Uppal, CEO & Co-Founder of VeloCloud™ Networks, Inc., the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN leader commented: “VeloCloud has worked with Coevolve on multiple customer engagements and we believe that their experience across varying geographies and environments can be very valuable to their enterprise customers. We both know that there is a great opportunity to help enterprises to securely support application growth, network agility and simplified branch and end point implementations with VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN, while delivering optimized access to cloud services, private data centers and enterprise applications.”
Coevolve was recently recognised as a finalist in the Innovation category of the 2017 ACOMM (Australian Communications Industry) Awards for its global managed SD-WAN service.
Coevolve helps enterprises adopt next-generation network technologies to deliver measurable quality improvements and significant TCO benefits. Enterprise wide area networks need to become more agile to effectively support a wide range of cloud-based and internal applications. We leverage technologies such as Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN), Cloud Delivery Networks as a Service and Network Functions Virtualization, along with increased use of Internet-based infrastructure as the foundation for providing this agility. We can help enterprises at each stage of the service life cycle – from initial assessments and roadmap development, to the implementation and ongoing management of transformative technologies.
