The role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Digital Innovation, this role will be pivotal in the success of our Smart Services offerings, with a focus on developing and maintaining our Smart Services Application. We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-stack AWS Developer for our global provider of SD-WAN and security solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for both AWS-based backend development and front-end implementation of our new client dashboard and analytics service, as well as contributing to integrating AI solutions into our smart services offering.

Location: Hybrid work, Malaysia.

Employment type: 12-month fix term employment. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using AWS services.
  • Implement and manage serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Develop and optimise data storage solutions using AWS DynamoDB, S3, and other relevant services.
  • Create and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for front-end components using ReactJS.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL interfaces.
  • Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Contribute to the integration of AI solutions into our smart services offering, enhancing our product capabilities and user experience.

Must have

  • Experience with AWS tools like AWS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and Cognito.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience with AWS development.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in AWS development.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, including but not limited to: Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, and Cognito.
  • Experience in designing and implementing serverless architectures.
  • Expertise in data modeling and working with large datasets in AWS environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Front-End Development using ReactJS.
  • Proficiency in modern React practices including hooks and functional components.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design.

Preferred qualifications

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML technologies and their integration into cloud-based applications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
